3 MMJ Brownie Recipes That Will Change Your Life

An excellent way to satisfy your sweet tooth and give your lungs a break, while at the same time easing your glaucoma, calming your PTSD, controlling your muscle spasms or simply setting yourself up for a top-quality 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep, is to bake a batch of medical cannabis-infused brownies.

Chocolate brownies are the quintessential edible marijuana treat! People have been ingesting their medical herb in sweet brownie form since before any of us were born. But the method has not lost its charm. Brownies are scrumptious…and potent!

A decent-sized nibble on a well-made MMJ brownie will transport the nibbler to another galaxy in which time slows down, all worry evaporates, aches and pains melt away, and life’s issues can be seen from novel and liberating new perspectives.

Go Crazy for Cannabutter

The base of all cannabis-infused brownies is cannabutter. It is the vital marijuana-containing ingredient that makes our brownies more than just average brownies, and it’s the part of the recipe that contains the potent, pain-alleviating, health-promoting herb. Basically, it’s crucial.

To make cannabutter, you use your California medical marijuana card to get some good medical marijuana (your cannabutter will only be as good as the weed you use to make it, so don’t cut corners). If you use your California medical card to buy budd in dried-out, ready to smoke form, you are good to go.

But, if you are an amateur farmer who grows your weed yourself, make sure to decarb the fresh leaves by putting them on a tray and baking them for about 40 minutes at 240 degrees. Bake them until they are thoroughly dried out and crumbly, and then grind them up. Melt butter in a saucepan – 4 sticks of butter for every ounce of medical cannabis you use. Once the butter is melted to an oily liquid, gently stir in the dried, ground-up medical weed.

After the weed is thoroughly stirred into the butter, turn the heat down and let the mixture simmer at the lowest possible heat for anything from 2 to 4 hours. Stir regularly. When the mix becomes glossy and thick, it is ready to be poured through a strainer into a plastic food container, and left to cool at room temperature. Once the cannabutter is cooled to room temperature place it in the fridge. Cannabutter complete!

(If you use your cannabis card and make your cannabutter at home, you have no way of knowing the exact THC content, so be wary when baking. We’ve suggested using part cannabutter, part regular butter on your first batch. Experiment and see how the brownies turn out. Change the ratio of cannabutter to regular butter as required.)

Now, without further ado, here are three MMJ brownie recipes that will change your life.
