Parkinson’s disease is a widely known neurodegenerative disease that affects the brain. Dopamine, a chemical produced by brain cells, is responsible for delivering messages to the brain to control bodily movement. When those brain cells are damaged, people may begin showing signs of Parkinson’s disease.

Many times Parkinson’s disease is difficult to detect right away since its progression is slow. Since there currently isn’t a cure for the disease, treatments are targeted at helping the patient deal with the symptoms and be as comfortable as they can. Some medications can help increase the dopamine levels in the brain. Brain surgery is also an option.

Symptoms and Treatment Options for Parkinson’s Disease

The symptoms of Parkinson’s disease can be tough to diagnose. Some symptoms aren’t any different than typical everyday aches and pains. Something as subtle as a tremor in one hand can be a sign of the disease developing and progressing. However, as people get older, their symptoms worsen and can turn into jerking movements, constant muscle pains and aches, monotone speech, low blood pressure, difficulty swallowing or blinking and even drooling.

Treatments to help patients deal with the symptoms generally include prescription medication, but those usually come with some pretty harsh side effects. Medical marijuana is a recommended alternative since it doesn’t have any adverse side effects, and can help treat both the physical and mental symptoms of the disease. As more research proves the effectiveness of medical marijuana, many people are becoming inclined to get a medical marijuana card online.

Getting Your Medical Marijuana Card

The negative symptoms and side effects of medication treatments can cause anxiety and depression in some patients. Since you can get medical marijuana online, it is easier than ever to have a safe and reliable treatment option available. It won’t cure the disease, but it will make it a lot easier to deal with. In addition, the anxiety and distress will eventually subside, which will create a more positive attitude in the patient.

If you or a loved one is suffering from Parkinson’s disease, now is the time to take action. You should seriously consider medical marijuana as a treatment option. Since it’s fairly simple to buy medical marijuana online, you won’t have to jump through any hoops to get it. In fact, many states recognize Parkinson’s disease as a qualifying condition, so it’s an effortless process in those states.

  1. I am 56 years of age and was quickly diagnosed with Parkinson’s 11 months ago. My symptoms are shakiness (increasing) and general reduction of control and strength of the left hand. I experienced a general tightness of the chest accompanied by periodic sudden feelings of shortness of breath. I also become quite dizzy when performing any athletic function (jogging). I was quite active . I was on Levodopa/Carbidopa, 100/25.i spent a lot of money on medication,so i decided search for permanent cure.
